2024 BULL & FEMALE SALE
A Yarra Valley repeat buyer has returned to Riddellvue Angus, Markwood, to pick up the top-priced bull.
Outlook Drive Investments, trading as Eyton on Yarra, Healesville, was one of several repeat buyers at the sale stud co-principal Ian Bates said.
Outlook bought Riddellvue Genesis T172 for $10,000.

Riddellvue Angus stud bull sale topped over $12,000
Following a move from Alexandra to Markwood, Riddellvue Angus stud’s spring sale was a success, according to co-stud principal Ian Bates.
Lot 6 Riddellvue Full House T23PV, was the top priced bull of the sale, selling for $12,500, and was purchased by Eric Milano, Onalim Nominees, Hansonville.

Bellaspur Angus has described Riddellvue’s top-priced female as nothing short of “special” for her beauty and pedigree.
Riddellvue stud principal Ian Bates said he thought it was a great result and the cows went to strong programs.
He said the top-priced cow Lot 5, Riddellvue Lowan S116, stood out to him and each person that viewed her before the sale.

RIDDELLVUE Angus co-principal Ian Bates says shifting to the King Valley from Alexandra has been a positive move, allowing a wider range of clients to be exposed to his bulls at this week’s annual autumn sale.
Riddellvue, now at Markwood, sold its top-priced bull for $15,000, down $5000 on last year’s $20,000. Mr Bates said the industry appeared to back “where it needed to be. “It was a bit carried away,” he said. “I think it was a good result for the first sale up here”.

A commercial Angus stud at Alexandra has broken its previous top-priced bull record and set a five-figure average at its on-property bull sale in north-east Victoria.
Riddellvue Angus stud sold 22 of its 26 Angus bulls to a top-price of $20,000 to average $12,000 at its spring sire sale on Wednesday. The top-priced bull was bought by a commercial producer who sells between 600-800 weaner cattle through the Wangaratta feature sale each January.

NSW studs continue to spend big at Victorian stud sales, with a NSW Angus commercial operation buying three lots at Riddellvue Angus stud’s on-property sale.
Riddellvue stud principal Ian Bates said the sale was solid with four bulls going for $12,000, while the top-priced bull – Lot 27, Riddellvue Nic Nat R125, sold to Sam Tanner, Baddaginnie, going for $500 more.

We set a new stud record with a top of $15,000 & big leap in the average of $9071, up $2300 since the autumn sale in March.
The top price bull, Lot 7 Riddellvue Rover R2, sold for $15,000 to new buyers, Waterham Pastoral Company, Pembro Estate, Glenburn, who also snapped up Lot 3, Riddellvue Roberto R1 for $13,000.
